Moving and Handling / Positioning
Moving and handling, often referred to as manual handling, involves using physical force to move, lift, push, or support objects or individuals. In the context of health and social care, this entails assisting individuals with various activities, such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, using the restroom, walking and sitting.
Medication
This Medication Awareness Training course is tailor-made for care workers who tend to residents in care settings. It offers a comprehensive overview of managing residents’ medical needs, including legal obligations, proper medication handling, storage, disposal, and effective dosage management.
Risk Assessment
A comprehensive risk assessment in health and social care is a cornerstone of safeguarding service users and staff. First Aid Emergencies

Health and Safety
Our training course offers a deep dive into essential topics like work environments, fire safety, equipment safety, hazardous substances, manual handling, and more. We break down complex health and safety regulations, helping you identify risks, implement effective control measures, and fulfill your managerial responsibilities. Whether you’re an employer, manager, or supervisor, this course equips you with the knowledge and tools to create a safe and compliant workplace.
Child Care - Paediatric , First Aid Health + Safety (Use of Hoist / Sling)
Provision of knowledge and practice based active learning one day session in-person, with focus on safety and risks associated with the wellbeing needs of the child/young person through staff, carers developing knowledge and understanding of practical ‘Emergency Response Capabilities’ within the correct legal framework and existing regulations with demonstrations and practice opportunities.
Understanding of the importance of a safe care plan, risk assessments and practical usage of equipment designed for the mobility support/transfer of a child/young person where there is an identified need for the use of assessed hoist, sling, profiling bed and/or other available equipment that may be used in a care setting. With a focus on safe simulation of the correct use and maintenance of the hoist, sling and other available equipment. Subject to full consent and agreements.
Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression team (PMVA)
Our PMVA team delivers comprehensive training to our staff in preventing and managing violence or aggression across all services, including mental health care. We also extend this training to other healthcare and social care organisations, such as GP practices, walk-in centres, and residential care homes.
Our training incorporates both non-physical and physical techniques to equip teams and individuals to handle challenging behaviour effectively. We prioritise personal safety and offer post-incident support.
Our training adheres to current best practices in therapeutic violence and aggression management, aligning with guidelines from NICE (Clinical Guideline 10, 2015), the Department of Health (Positive and Proactive Care, 2014), NHS Protect (non-physical interventions training), and the General Services Association (physical and non-physical interventions training).
PEG Feeding Training
This training course will guide you through various enteral feeding methods, including PEG and NG tubes, equipping you with practical skills to care for individuals receiving enteral nutrition. You’ll learn about community-based care for clients with feeding tubes and gain hands-on experience in simulated scenarios to enhance patient safety and minimise infection risks in a controlled setting. This course is ideal for healthcare professionals responsible for caring for individuals with feeding tubes, including registered nurses, complex care staff, support workers, and healthcare assistants. Prior knowledge of enteral feeding is not required.
